1. Apply With High Level Domain
When applying for AdSense account, ensure to fill your correct and top level domain. For example, mysite.com. mysite.net or mysite.org are having good chances of getting approved. Avoid applying with the following cases:
Apply for subdomains or subdirectories
Entering page URL instead of domain URL
Blogger sites can be applied for AdSense account. But it should follow the hosted site process which generally will get approved faster than other sites.
2. Apply with a New Domain
AdSense policy allows to place the ad code in multiple domains. So ensure to apply with a domain which is not already applied by some other owner. This is possible if you have purchased the domain through auction or purchased the site from other owner.
We recommend to apply for AdSense account with a new domain which is not applied previously.
3. You Should Be Domain Owner
The process of AdSense application includes you to verify the ownership of the domain. This is done by inserting the ad code between head section of your site. So ensure you have the root access to your site before applying for the account.
4. Good Content Quality
Google has an user experience guide for publishers. Be sure to have a good quality content and check the content is arranged as per the user experience guide. Don’t get diverted by seeing the poor sites showing AdSense ads. Those sites are not qualified directly, the owner might have placed the ad code from already approved account. Also at one point of time Google will ban those accounts and mark for spam.
So it is a good idea to start the application process only after creating decent amount of content on your site.
5. Age Limit
AdSense terms allows publishers to be minimum 18 years old for applying. If you are less than 18 years old and owning a website, Google allows the parents or guardian to submit the application using their Google account. The payment will be sent to the primary account holder who is the parent or guardian though the site still can be maintained by a person less than 18 years.
6. Policy Compliance
Ensure to check your site is complaint with the AdSense policies before submitting the application.
7. Length of Site Ownership
It was easy to get approval a decade back when AdSense was launched. But nowadays it is not an easy task to get AdSense approval from Google. It is not only due to the maturity of the program but also due to the poor quality of the sites. In order to ensure the site has decent pages, Google has a restriction on the domain age.
The domain age or length of site ownership should be more than six months for applying for an account. This is not a generic rule but applicable for most of the Asian countries like India, China, Bangladesh and Pakistan. In simple terms, start creating content for at least six months and then apply for AdSense account regardless of your country.
8. Check Supported Language
Most of the publishers don’t know that AdSense is not supported in all languages. Check the below table showing AdSense supported languages before applying. When applying for an AdSense account, you should choose the primary language of your site which should be one from the below table. Especially if you are applying from countries like India where multiple local languages are spoken, ensure to have your site’s primary language as one of the supported languages.
9. Check Content Category

- Pornography content
- Dangerous or derogatory content
- Recreational drugs and drug-related content
- Alcohol-related content
- Tobacco-related content
- Healthcare-related content
- Hacking and cracking content
- Pages that offer compensation programs
- Misrepresentative content
- Violent content
- Weapon-related content
- Content that enables dishonest behavior
- Illegal content
